Key Duties & Responsibilities
Periodic Activities:
Deliver accurate budget info to leadership/project managers; maintain accounts, cash flows, charts of accounts, and templates for planning/reporting.
Support monthly/quarterly reviews, leading on finance/commercial issues.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, interim, and year-end accounts; trial balances, statements, and reports.
Handle monthly reconciliations aligning to general ledger.
Ensure timely, accurate payroll/tax; supervise bank/petty cash reconciliations.
Verify staff timesheets, leaves, and expense claims.
Analyze budgets, control spending, report overruns.
Maintain records, reconcile balance sheets monthly per regulations.
Coordinate annual audits with external auditors.
File tax returns (VAT, WHT, ERCA monthly/quarterly).
Renew business license/registration timely.
Improve financial policies; promote compliance culture.
Routine Activities:
Manage purchase ledger: emails, invoice queries, processing, reconciliations.
Handle sales invoicing, credit control; verify documents/vouchers/payments.
Process approved payments via online banking; prepare receivables/payables.
Perform routine tasks: vouchers, bank reconciliations, journal entries, ledger postings.
Job Requirements:
Essential
BA in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related.
5+ years finance in consultancy/innovative business.
Highly organized, proactive, confident under pressure.
Proven deadline management.
Excellent English writing; clear communication to diverse audiences.
Experience managing finance email, analyzing transactions, preparing reports.
Team player: fast learner, flexible, adaptable, pressure-resilient.
Strong listening, patience, humor.
Desirable
Finance qualification (qualified or pursuing).
IFRS certification.
Microsoft proficiency; Peachtree/other accounting software expertise.
Multi-currency experience.
