About the Program

The Shega Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a three months immersive learning experience tailored for recent graduates and young professionals. It equips participants with practical skills, mentorship, and real-world exposure in areas such as market research, data analysis, digital media, and product development. The program aims to nurture future leaders and innovators by providing hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants may be offered full-time roles at Shega or other opportunities with partner organizations based on performance evaluations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

AI-Driven Product Management:

• Identify opportunities to enhance products with AI and machine learning technologies.

• Define product requirements for AI-powered features based on market research and user data.

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and designers to integrate AI capabilities into product features.

• Develop and manage product roadmaps that incorporate AI capabilities and customer needs.

• Evaluate AI tools and platforms for potential product features.

• Track and analyze product performance metrics specific to AI-driven features.

AI-Driven Design Sprints & User-Centric Design:

• Apply design thinking principles to solve real-world user challenges through AI solutions.

• Conduct and participate in design sprints focused on developing intelligent product features.

• Develop user personas, customer journey maps, and wireframes to guide AI enhanced product development.

• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure AI features are intuitive, ethical, and user friendly.

• Use user feedback to refine AI models and continuously improve product performance.

• Participate in usability testing and feedback analysis to enhance the user experience.

Ethical AI Development & Governance:

• Engage in discussions on AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI development.

• Advocate for ethical considerations in AI product design, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company policies.

Learning & Development:

• Participate in structured training on product management fundamentals and agile methodologies.

• Attend workshops and bootcamps on AI/ML concepts and tools.

• Receive mentorship from senior product managers and AI specialists.

• Engage in rotational assignments across various product development teams.

• Complete a capstone project to develop and pitch a prototype AI-enhanced product solution.

Required Qualifications:

• BSC Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, Product Design, or a related field.

• Strong academic foundation in product management, AI/ML, software development, or UX design.

• Demonstrated interest in technology innovation, AI, or digital product development.

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Eagerness to learn and experiment with AI technologies and agile methodologies.
